Microsurgery Training: Are the Live Models Era Coming in to the Tail? – A Literature Review

Introduction: Microsurgery is a relatively new speciality with steep learning patterns. Before practice in real fields surgeons need adequate training to gain the expertise. Different types of living and non-living simulators are used efficiency. As simulator has issues complexity, availability, cost, ethical approval special setting available resources an alternative less complex, inexpensive, no issues, easily available, effective models demanded by trainers. 
 Objective: Review relevant articles see justification use live for microsurgery there any model replace model.
 Materials Methods: A PubMed Google Scholar search key words ‘(microsurgery) AND (training)) (live models)) (non-living (education)’ were performed February 2021. Total 422 literatures found from January 1990 Among them 29 topics. 17 finally selected discussion.
 Conclusion: Evidences showed low fidelity as high training. Many studies ex vivo have promising results which support replacement basic intermediate courses.
